Here is a list of the best dentists in Virgina, based on patient reviews, awards, and professional recognition: This list is not based on advertising or payment. Dentists cannot 'buy' their way onto my list.

These are dentists that I have become familiar with over the last 40 years, either by personal interaction, online, at Continuing Education courses, or by reputation.

They all have exceptional skills, and are experts in one or more fields. I would trust these dentists to work in my mouth without hesitation!

This list is not comprehensive, and I will be adding to it regularly.

Dr Joseph Grieco, DDS FAGD

Dr. Grieco earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychobiology from UCLA and Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Georgetown University. He has been practicing dentistry since 1982.

In 1994, Dr. Grieco opened his own practice in Fairfax City. Since that time, there have been dramatic changes in materials and techniques available to dentistry. For his pursuit of continuing education, Dr. Grieco was made a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) in 2004. Although Dr. Grieco always strives to utilize the latest expertise and technology for his patients, he also wishes to be known for his compassionate care and gentle touch.

Dr Peter Cocolis DMD MAGD

Dr. Cocolis is a distinguished graduate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, and completed two years of advanced general dental training at the University of Virginia, where he served as chief resident.

He is a Fellow with the Misch Implant Institute, a Diplomate in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and also participates in numerous continuing education courses.

He is a general dentist with a special interest in dental implants.

Dr Alex Sadak DDS FAGD

Dr. Sadak received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine on Long Island, NY. He furthered his clinical knowledge and skills through a general practice residency program at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.

Dr. Sadak has received 2 national awards from the American Dental Association and completed more than 1400 hours of post graduate continuing education. Additionally he has passed rigorous exams to  become a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). Less than 6% of dentists have achieved this feat.

Additionally, Dr. Sadak has been nominated to sit on the board of advisors for the renowned Pankey Institute of Advanced Dental Education.
