The Colgate 360 toothbrush range comes from one of the best-known companies in the world. Colgate has a WIDE selection of toothbrushes.

The only type of brush that they do not make is the rechargeable type with a base station. But they DO have some battery powered brushes!

The Colgate 360 range of brushes have really nice soft-grip handles, and a unique tongue and cheek cleaner on the back of the head.

This is designed to gently clean the insides of your cheeks as you brush your teeth. I think this works quite well, as a lot of bacteria get stuck to your cheeks and tongue, as well as to your teeth!

range has a number of options;

SonicPower.

This is a battery-powered brush with a sonic cleaning action. For a powered toothbrush, the SonicPower has a very slim and lightweight handle. It sits very lightly in your hand, and is less chunky than many powered brushes.

It vibrates at 20,000 strokes per minute. This is not quite as powerful as a Sonicare, but still very good. This is a brush that I like a lot.

Pocket-Pro.

The Colgate Pocket Pro is a serious electric toothbrush for travellers - it charges up via the USB port on your computer or in your hotel room! No need to take bulky chargers away with you. It's slower to charge up than on a normal charger, but if left overnight on charge it will pack a punch the following morning!

DeepClean.

A manual brush which has super-thin Slim Tip bristles. These can clean better under the gum edges than standard bristles. This is a good choice if you have noticed that your gums bleed when you brush.

ActiFlex.

Another manual brush, but with a flexible head. The whole head can twist, allowing the bristles more movement in and around your teeth. To be honest, I'm not sure about the benefits of this one!

The Sensitive is designed for people with sensitive teeth, and has softer bristles than the other 360 models. If you use this brush, I recommend changing it more frequently than usual, (say every 8 weeks), as the softer bristles will wear out sooner.

Other toothbrushes from Colgate include the Colgate MotionWhitening. This is another battery-powered brush, but with two small rotating heads, and soft rubber polishing tips embedded into each head. The rubber tips are pretty good at removing stains from teeth surfaces.

The Colgate toothbrush MaxWhite looks like a manual version of the MotionWhitening. Frankly, I don't think it is anywhere near as effective as the MotionWhitening as far as stain removal goes. It is cheaper, but if you're looking for stain removal, I think the MotionWhitening is much better.

Which Colgate toothbrush should you use? I think the Colgate 360 Sonic Power is the most effective.

It has a nice weight and size in your hand, and gets very good results in getting plaque off your teeth. It has a very reasonable price for a powered brush, but don't forget that you will need to buy new batteries every 4 to 6 weeks.

If you prefer a manual brush, go for the DeepClean. This is a very good manual toothbrush, and not over-priced. It's very good value for money.

Either way, remember to spend 6 to 8 minutes brushing! Slowly and gently!
